Moliner, P., Rateau, P., & Cohen-Scali, V. (2002). Les représentations sociales. Pratique des études de terrain. Rennes : Presses Universitaires de Rennes.

This book is presented as a practical manual, which describes the different steps of a field representation study and outlines the methods that can be implemented at each step. It is of course intended for students, but also for practitioners interested in the study of social representations. The reader who is not familiar with representation theory will find the minimum theoretical elements necessary to understand research approaches.

The book can be used as a guide, as it describes a logical sequence of procedures. It can also play the role of a catalogue since it presents most of the methods useful for studying social representations in the field. Finally, it should be noted that the approaches and methods presented concern both qualitative (based on the researcher's interpretation) and quantitative (based on statistical data analysis) studies.
