To disseminate the principles and methods of a discipline, the main objective of which is to extract and analyse numerical facts from observations. The reader should be able to find directly in this book the tool that can be used according to the phenomena he observes.

Experimental methods and statistics are nowadays essential in the human sciences. However, they are often perceived as technical obstacles that are difficult to overcome. The aim of this book is to clarify concepts while dispelling apprehensions and to make data collection and processing methods simple and accessible to any reader interested in the human sciences, regardless of his or her initial scientific or literary training.
Each method point and each statistical tool is briefly presented, without mathematical demonstration, and is followed by detailed applications derived or inspired from research in the social sciences and humanities as well as several corrected exercises.
