Rouquette, M.L., & Rateau, P. (1998). Introduction à l'étude des représentations sociales. Grenoble : Presses Universitaires de Grenoble.

The theoretical foundations of social representations have been synthesized in many manuals. However, there was no introduction to current study techniques, which have progressed considerably in recent years. Based on resolutely formal concepts and supported by the systematic application of the experimental method, these techniques seek to treat social representations as a scientific object, i.e. an object that lends itself to the development of generalizable, cumulative and reproducible knowledge.

This unique book brings together most of the current operational concepts, a description of the procedures derived from them, an important body of empirical results and a number of exercises of practical application.
